Mahtowa Meadows Saddlery is a specialty online shop offering the finest previously loved imported Hennig saddles. We have always been known for our exceptional selection of Hennig dressage saddles and we are expanding our selection to include other high end brands as well as Hennig jumping and all-purpose saddles.

These lovely saddles are gently broken in and will last for many years to come.  An investment in a Hennig is an investment in your horse's future and well being.  We will continue to maintain a selection of only the finest saddles in beautiful condition along with fast response and personal service.   We will continue to offer a variety of Thinline pads as they add so much to the harmony we all strive for with our equine partners.  

Our latest Thinline addition is the Laser Amulet dressage saddle which incorporates Thinline material into the panels and seat ~ This saddle is fully adjustable~ We are very excited to be offering this Laser model! 

While we do not offer new custom ordered Hennigs, we frequently receive Hennigs in new condition.   Why do people sell their new Hennigs?   The most common reason is because they did not have the opportunity to take advantage of  "ride before you buy".  Ordering a brand new custom saddle is in no way a guarantee that you will like the fit once you finally receive the saddle.  Please check out our Hennig inventory and if you do not find what you're looking for, check back soon as we are continually importing Hennigs direct from Germany as well as taking Hennigs on consignment.

We feel strongly that the Hennigs are superior to other high end brands  in quality and comfort for horse and rider.  Jochen Hennig is the most innovative Master saddler in the world today.  His state of the art patented tree design allows for greater freedom of movement due to the cut back panel/flap design as well as the angled tree points.  The material used for the tree also allows for a much more comfortable experience for the horse and rider. No rigid wood tree can be good for a horse's back.  One of the many benefits of buying a Hennig saddle is enjoying the freedom that comes with an adjustable tree.   We are happy to put our customers in touch with the saddlers we use for both Hennig and Schleese tree adjustments.  Our Laser saddles are user adustable.
