Consignments
Mahtowa Meadows Saddlery has a wonderful consignment program and we will do everything we can to find your saddle a great new home! We do ask that all saddles be in very good to new condition with sound trees, safe billets and no repairs needed. Saddles should be clean and preferably well protected with a saddle cover and bubble wrap during shipment. Mahtowa Meadows reserves the right to refuse any saddle. We have a large customer base (see our testimonials page) with excellent exposure and we will present your saddle accurately with beautiful photos. When your saddle sells on a trial, we will package it carefully and make sure it is shipped safely to it's destination. We will include one of our own lovely plush saddle covers if one has not been provided by the seller. We are not responsible for normal wear sustained during trials. We find that we sell more saddles if people are allowed to ride on them a few times. It has been our experience that in general, people are very careful with the saddles they have out on trial. If any saddle is returned with major damage, the customer's credit card will be charged accordingly.
We ask that you agree to keep your saddle with us for 120 days, or until it sells, whichever comes first. If you pull your saddle out prior to a sale, you will be charged a $35 fee to be paid in advance of shipping the saddle back to you. This fee will cover the time and labor that went in to preparing your saddle for trials and all photography and editing work. You are responsible for all shipping charges at any time the saddle is returned to you. If and when the saddle sells, Mahtowa Meadows will keep 20% of the final sale price (any cc fee will be split). The list price of the saddle may be set by the consignor or we are happy to price it for you at your request. The brands that we are currently accepting are listed on the Consignment Form.
If you would like us to consign your saddle for you, please fill out the Consignment Form and submit it to us. We will get back to you via email with an authorization number to include with your saddle when you ship it to us. Please remember all saddles must be in very good condition or better and sound with safe billets and no repairs needed. We reserve the right to refuse any saddle that does not meet these criteria. You will be responsible for return shipping if we refuse your saddle. Please do not ship any saddles with packing peanuts. Thank You!
